Philippe Paquet

Philippe Paquet

Philippe PaquetPhilippe Paquet was admitted as a legal practitioner in 1999. Since that time he has practiced solely in litigation with a keen interest in compensation law.

Philippe gained much of his experience at a leading national firm in Sydney where he was a Senior Associate. During this period Philippe gained extensive experience in compensation claims involving plaintiffs suffering millions in damage. He gained valuable experience in identifying the relevant negligent parties even including entities like Councils and Road Authorities who might have played a causal role in causing the damage.

Between 2006 and 2008 Philippe lived and worked in the United Kingdom during which time he was employed by the Treasury Solicitor and Lovells LLP, both large and highly respected legal service providers in the United Kingdom. He managed a diverse range of clients from Department for Transport (Highways Agency), Her Majesty’s Prison Service through to Food & Rural Affairs and The Department for Constitutional Affairs. During this time Philippe also gained further experience involving claims arising from complex multi-vehicle collisions with significant property damage.

Upon returning to Australia in 2008 he rejoined the same national law firm working in compensation law providing commercially focused advice to a variety of Third Party Insurance companies including NRMA, QBE, Allianz and Zurich.

In 2011 Philippe made the transition from a defendant, to a plaintiff litigator.

Having been in the profession and the insurance industry for considerable time, he has extensive knowledge and experience in compensation litigation in a variety of practice areas including motor accidents, medical law, Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and public liability claims.

Having previously worked as a defendant litigator he also has the advantage of having a thorough understanding of how insurance companies run and manage claims. This experience is a significant advantage to his clients as it enables him to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients.

Philippe Paquet is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for his clients with a view to achieving those outcomes in a timely manner. He prides himself on being approachable and available as well as delivering clear advice to his clients ensuring they understand each step in the litigation process.
