Miles was admitted to practice in the year 2000 and has over 12 years’ experience working in the legal profession including the Family and Federal Circuit Courts, Supreme Court and Local Court and Tribunals.
He travelled to the United Kingdom and worked for Freshfields, a law firm with extensive international connections and assisted with commercial matters in both the Finance and Litigation Departments.
This international experience was invaluable and further enhanced his understanding when dealing with complex Family Law property settlements and Estate matters involving companies, trusts and corporate entities.
He has represented clients in all Family Law Court events including Case Assessment Conferences, Directions Hearings, Mediations, Conciliation Conferences, Applications for Orders, Hearings and Trials. He is diligent and compassionate and his attention to detail is outstanding.
Miles has expertise in preparing Divorce applications and Consent Orders, applications for Spousal Maintenance, Orders on behalf of Same Sex couples and De-facto relationships. He is also experienced at negotiating Property Settlements including those involving complex financial disputes involving companies and trusts.
In addition, he is a proficient Wills and Estates lawyer having represented many families who required legal assistance in preparing complex Wills, Power of Attorney, Guardianship and Advanced Health Directives for members of the family.
Miles can also assist with Deceased Estate matters including all Probate applications, Letters of Administration and Succession Act claims.
